Patch 3.0 was recently implemented on Chinese servers (no Wrath yet, due to problems with government approvaldon't ask), and many Chinese players have became very interested in the new achievement system. Given the popularity of world PvP (and the black warbear) on Chinese realms, the killing of racial leaders has been all the rage.
Most Chinese realms have very skewed populations. The realm mentioned here, Lothar, has been famously dominated by Horde for a long time now, to the point that Alliance toons would get killed in their own capitals outright. A common joke was that Horde has eight instead of four capital cities on Lothar (last online population check: A:H ratio=30:3000, a total of 17 auctions in the alliance AHs).
A few days ago, a full raid of Lothar Hordes came to Ironforge looking for the kill. This was regarded as a PvE action, since Ironforge had long been a ghost town. Despite this, what was left of the Alliance population on Lotharnamely, a single human Paladinstaged a last stand next to King Magni (quite fittingly, holding King's Defender). Although he was killed multiple times, he successfully dragged the guards to the Hordes, thus thwarting an entire raid.
Hordes attempted again the next day. This time the Alliance had more people--a grand total of 8, lvl 1 alts made by visitors included. Once again, they successfully defended the dwarven King.

In the spirit of "screenshot it or it didn't happen", I am linking the original posts with multiple screenshots.
P.S: As for the tomb-like graphics in the screenshots...errr, the Chinese version of WOW has certain graphics altered. The undead toons have flesh, for example. And the tombs are in lieu of the white bones. ^_~
