Hello ladies!

I am thinking of levelling a new toon, but I am completely out of slots on the server I am currently on. So, I need some recs on which server I should create my new toon on.

I am more comfortable playing Alliance, but I wouldn't mind trying Horde. I am looking for an active and friendly PvE server, with a decent economy. That's... about it, I guess.

Hi all. I'm sorry that this is outside of UI/Mod Monday, but this has been going on for the past 2 days and it's kinda driving me up the wall and I don't think I can wait. >_>

I use the mod QuestGuru to replace the default Blizz quest tracking window. It's been working great for me, but I've run into a snag. Since yesterday, I noticed the window missing. When I checked my quest log, I noticed that the Grizzly Hills section of quests was minimized. I thought maybe I had done that by accident so I expanded the list, went off questing and...it minimized itself. Again.

So I flew to Stars' Rest in Dragonblight, accepted a few quests from there, did a few...and it hasn't minimized itself. So what is going on with my addon?? How can I get it to stop doing this?

(I admit, it could be a bug within the game itself. I'm just assuming it's a bug with the addon.)

ETA: I tested to see if this happened with the default window and nope. It appears to be an issue with QuestGuru.

I got an email this week letting me know that some korean or chinese person has deposited 0.01 USD to my paypal account... Now I took this as a "aah its probably something trying to get my account details for paypal and ignored it...

But I had to pay for some books using paypal yesterday, so I took a look in there, and there is indeed a deposit for 0.01USD from an address brb2wow@hotmail.com O,o

Reckon this is something to be confused/concerned over, I've rejected the payment, but I'm still quite confused over it O,o

Farstriders Raiding Syndicate is on Farstriders-US. We have both Alliance and Horde 10m teams in various stages of progression.

Farstriders Raiding Syndicate was created in Burning Crusade during the free server transfers to Farstriders. It serves as a way of bringing raiders from different guilds on the server, together to raid on an established schedule and roster. A large number of raiders are from The Hellfire Angels and Angelfire Hellions guilds. Farstriders Raiding Syndicate currently hosts ~~four~~ five 10m raiding teams, four on the Alliance side and one on the Horde side. Each team has a different schedule and team name: Geriatric Explosion, Ironassus, Pandalaran, Orgriwind, and Stormforge. The only day that has no raids going on, is Thursday. Fridays are old raid achievement nights that people sign up for. The rest of the week, there's a 10m raiding. You can see our teams' progressions on the web site below.

Mage Challenge Modes

My guild's finally getting into challenge modes, and, well. Since I've been shunted out of my healing spot by the group leader's girlfriend, it seems I'll be going on my mage.

Problem: I hate frost. With a passion. I.. I can't... Words. Cannot describe my absolute loathing for the spec. And I don't know how to PLAY it. But apparently, there's "no room for slacking."

So. I take it that means that I WILL have to drop my arcane spec and pick up frost, right?

What other tips do you have? I know we're going to be a Prot Pally, a Resto Druid, and probably a boomkin? That one has a bunch of characters. And then me, a mage. I don't know who our fifth will be, yet.

Bloodsail Buccaneers

During the events leading up to and following the Third War, several criminal organizations appeared in Azeroth. The Bloodsail Buccaneers appear to be one of these organizations, originating from the Bloodsail Hold on Plunder Isle and is where their ruler, Duke Falrevere holds court. They now plot to plunder and cripple the Steamwheedle Cartel controlled port town of Booty Bay, currently under the protection of the Blackwater Raiders.
Reputation
There is only one way to increase your reputation with the Bloodsail Buccaneers and that’s to unleash your wrath on any citizen of Booty Bay who can be found through out the Eastern Kingdoms. Below is a list of every citizen of Booty Bay and their reputation value. The amount gained with the Bloodsail Buccaneers is shown for a level 60 non-human. The amount lost for killing a citizen cannot be shown as it depends on your current level with Booty Bay and the importance of the person you kill. In addition to this what ever you lose with Booty Bay you will lose half of that in the other three goblin towns so if you lose 25 points in Booty Bay you will lose 12.5 points in Ratchet.

High lag during the evenings/weekends

For the past couple of weeks, my sibs and I have been dealing with high lag in the game during times of high traffic (evenings/weekends). I've been on the forums and even posted in a tech support post about it. Supposedly, it was fixed the end of April, but we're still having issues. When they locked the tech support post, they said to create a new thread if we were still having issues, but I've done that and not received any official help. Another player suggested switching channels on our router, which we've done, but that hasn't helped at all.

I'm about ready to give up and not renew my sub at the end of the month, I'm so frustrated. I'm part of a couple dungeon teams for a few small guilds, which are pretty much at a stand still until we can get this sorted. Not to mention the frustration of trying to do quests on the toons that aren't on dungeon teams.

Our internet speed is fine; Tumblr loads just fine, I was able to have Pandora running on my phone without it causing lag in game, even with two other people also playing at the same time.

(if I've already posted about this, I'm sorry, I don't remember if I have or not) Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

I REALLY REALLY want to get a group together to do this rep grind. Everything I've been able to find about this rep grind is pre MoP and I want to know about any changes for the current expansion, since I haven't gotten exulted with either faction yet.

I've been toying with the idea of trying to post a raid like this, but since I have only joined other peoples open raids and never posted one on my own I'd like to know more about how to run one. I'd specifically like to know how to get the Bloodsail rep, I think you only have to get them to honored and not exulted, or is there also an achieve for exulted? Then the following week post another raid to get rep back up to at least friendly with the goblins. So no one loses the flight points for too long.

Can anyone give me some tips on how to go about this? And let me know if you think this is at all a good idea.

I posted this question on OpenRaid and was told that a 40m group for farming guards would be a complete failure. The reputation gains start to diminish after 5 people and by 10 you aren't getting anything. If you can phase two 5-man groups together (with 4 DPS and a healer in each group, the group leaders from the same server) then that is a very efficient way to farm reputation. Even one 5-man group can easily farm to honored in a few hours.

Another tip is to make sure that you are zoned to a PVP server (the person creating the group must be on a PVP server, tossing leader to them later doesn't work) - the guards have less health and hit significantly less hard compared to a PVE server.

I don't know if any of this is true though. And how do I find a nice, friendly person from a PVP server when I have only ever played on one server? I play on Exodor-Alliance.

I got into a dungeon where they had kicked someone already and even though that person wasn't in the group anymore our healer couldn't teleport in because a full group. So the group was teleporting out and back in. I couldn't because it said we were in combat but it did work.

Also one of my guildmates can't get on the game. The loading bar fills all the way up but then disconnecting troubles. His father can't turn in quests either.

Anyone else?

Because your sock is now attached to us, we ask that you please come and live with it in our guild, instead of taking it home. Bribed to stay with gems/enchants and raid consumables and given delicious beverages to sate your irritation if someone actually does stand in the fire.

Most of us are very fragile and our shadow priest runs screaming from Garalon when kiting. Our protection paladin thinks hes a healer, but the rest of us feel cooldown of said bandages is not conductive to a raiding environment. We expect that our members can point their character in the direction of the monster on their screen and mash their keyboard. We do insist that you are capable of facing the direction of the monster, however, as in the past, we have had issues with guildmates not actually facing the correct direction. We now supply guild GPS.

Leveling my DK tank

I'm currently trudging through leveling my death knight through Pandaria despite my new hatred for leveling. I was previously tanking lfr pretty easily on her and have lfr gear mostly with some valor gear. I'm concerned my hp is going to worry healers while doing instances because I haven't had much gear upgraded yet. Blood presence puts me around 240k. I keep bone shield up, ams as necessary and vampiric blood when things are hairy and all that jazz. I asked my healer last night in the mogu instance with Xin how healing me was and they said it was great.

I'm just the anxious type to doubt myself and my abilities more than anything. I have the darkmoon tanking trinket waiting for me once I push for 90. I know my stat priorities and I feel fairly confident while tanking. I just hate feeling like I don't have enough health. D: (Nevermind my 3k+ mastery and whatnot...)

Morning ladies and gents! (I see you lurking there, it's okay.)

How was your Mother's Day? =)

(I confess, mine started with sleeping in and ended with watching hockey, with dinner and WoW and Kitten Cam in between so I'm a happy camper.)

UIs and mods! I feel like I say the same thing every time, when really, you all know the drill.

I do have a random-ish question, though. I really like the look of the clean, simple UIs but I also like to have the stuff I USE all the time (and there's quite a bit of it) right where I can see it. How do you balance keeping your visual area clear with having what you need close at hand? I've already got a lot of stuff keybound, but I'm also dyslexic so that doesn't always help. (right? left? P? b? what?) I'm really feeling kind of lost and frustrated, so I'm looking for ideas. =)

All other stuff welcome as always - I LOVE seeing your screenshots, and you've all asked questions I've never even thought of before which helped several of us a lot! Feel free to jump in!

We switch laundry on flight paths and between dungeon queues!
We make sure dinner is done before raid time!
We nurse/feed babies on our laps while we raid!
We afk to change diapers, deal with crying children, and any and all things related to them, and sometimes we don't come back!
We wear headphones so our little ones can't hear anything we don't want them to on vent!
We love WoW, but we love our children more!

Posting for my sweetie, who does not belong to the community and needs some assistance.

We have turned all addons off except DBM, and that is completely up to date; he's running with the default UI otherwise.

When raiding, after the first boss is downed, some of the raid frames get switched around. So he'll go to click on Tankinator, the tank and get Legobutt, the hunter. Rarely, a click on Legobutt's raid frame (attempting to get Tankinator) will get Cupcake the mage (So it switches again). This goes on for six-seven frames until he /reloads, and will sometimes reappear after another boss. Sometimes not. Clicking Tankinator does not result in different targets each time.

I've spent the afternoon googling, and found a couple of reports on the official forums; this only seems to happen to people using the default raid frames, but no one's provided any solutions beyond 'download grid', which... he doesn't really want to muck with.

Has anyone run into this? Any ideas? Having to /reload in the middle of a fight, or as a healer, having to play whackamole to actually click on the person you want is... well, pretty suboptimal. I know he could move to using nameplates or something similar, but I'd like to help him find a solution if at all possible.

Hi Everyone!

We have found some amazing members here on wow_ladies and I'm hoping we can find more :)

It has been awhile since we have done any recruitment in our guild because we really like to give everyone time to get to know each other but we are at a point where we could use some new faces. We could also use a raider who is interested in finding a relaxed group to raid and hang out with two days a week and we can always use people who are interested in being standby for our current raid team to fill in spots as needed.

Our current raid schedule is Tuesday/Wednesday from 8:30 CST - 11:00 CST (We start invites and summons at 8:15)

I will say we are no where near hardcore progression. We had some delays when this expansion came out with getting the raid group going because we kept losing our tanks to real life situations. So the raid leader and myself took on the tank positions so we could guarantee that we would have 2 tanks each week and things have progressed fine since then. Unfortunately, those delays have slowed us down and since we are all determined to clear all the content, we are currently clearing Heart of Fear normal. We are on Garalon currently and use our second raid night to clear MSV in one run for those who are still missing a piece or two from there.

Important to know: We are a family friendly guild. If you want a guild where you don't have to listen to insults or vulgar jokes, we are a great guild for you. We require all conversations to remain PG-13 though we understand the occasional slip of a curse word. However, we do not tolerate inappropriate conversations since we have some members who play with their children in the guild. We do have occasional adult only events.

Our goal as a guild is to enjoy all of the content of the game from raiding, heroics, achievements and even PvP. The advantage to our members is that no matter what part of WoW is of interest to you, you will be able to enjoy it in BoE with fun and entertaining people.

We require honor and a positive attitude from our members. While we all have bad days at times, we all come to World of Warcraft to get away from the real world and all the stress that comes with it. We promote understanding and patience with each other as that is what family should be. However, we do not tolerate those who take advantage of others or treat people poorly.

Most importantly, we are very much a social guild, so we're all about having fun and building friendships.

We also do LFR together as a guild with two other guilds every Saturday. However, they are respectful and do not go overboard or become insulting.

Helloooooo Ladies!

It's that time of the week again, and hoo boy, I am glad it is almost over.

Anything cool happening in pretendy fun times for anyone else?   Enveri 'moderated' the first Medical Ethics Discussion (MED) on Monday night, and the turnout was... far far better than I expected. I was pretty happy, although I slept like the dead that night- running large events is stressful!    I'm glad it's only once a month. :3

I'm feeling pretty keen on a couple of my RP characters - I just got artwork done of my Paladin, and... hoo. It makes me want to play him more. So many fun characters to play, so little time!

So! How are things going for everyone? Do you need some help with a point of lore, a little polish on a backstory, or just need a short little pick-me-up interaction for your character?   Are you having difficulty getting into their heads, or just wanna sit down with people that 'get it' with a cup of a hot beverage?

Hi ladies, long time no see :)

I let my subscription die near the end of Cataclysm due to poorness, boredom, and the fact that all of my friends had quit the game by the end of WotLK and I was all alone in the world (of Warcraft).

My SO and I, after much deliberation, decided to fire up a couple of Scrolls of Resurrection and see what's changed. He hasn't played since the end of WotLK so I got to lead him around all the Cata zones and instances, and now we're discovering Pandaria together and really enjoying ourselves.

Ultimately, we want to get back into the raiding scene. He wants to raid with his warlock, and I am dead-set on raiding with my holy paladin. I have other characters, but I am DONE playing for other people. If I can't raid with the character I want to raid with, then I will find somewhere else to raid with her.

Anyway, although we're still leveling and nowhere near being able to raid, I'm curious about things that have changed and what to expect when we hit 90. My guildies are helping me out quite a bit, but there's a lot of information to process. I am familiar with all of the changes made in Cataclysm, just nothing since MoP came out.

So is anyone up for giving me a rundown of this expansion? I'll take anything. Rants, raves, guides, class-specific and raiding advice, things you wish you knew when you started, and I'll even happily accept rambling accounts of what's had your heart all a-flutter in Pandaria :D I'm just ready to get excited about playing again, and it hasn't quite hit me just yet. Plus, I hate feeling like a noob :P
