Pimping an Add-On

My significant other, an amazing Prot/Holy Paladin I met while playing WoW, and moved halfway across the country to marry, writes add-ons. This one is not new, but he constantly gets compliments on it and I just wanted to do a little pimping because despite it's simplicity, I couldn't live without it.

The add-on is called HowMany.

I'll summarize what it does here:

This simple add-on modifies loot messages. When you loot an item, the loot message will now say "You received [item link]. You now have xx." It can also tell you your new total funds when you loot money. Each of these functions can be independently enabled or disabled.

Configuration is available through the Blizzard Add-on configuration pages.

HowMany does not do processing for conjured or created items, due to a Blizzard bug. Sometimes the item is created in inventory before the add-on is called and sometimes after, so there is no easy way to accurately give correct totals.

Updated the code to work with new Blizzard currency types. Should work now with Honor Points, Archaeology fragments, Marks of the World Tree, etc.

It's really quite simple. I used to herb/mine/skin with my bags open, to see how many stacks or items I had of each herb/ore etc. Now, I get this message (or one like it) in my chat box:

Now I can see how many I have of something without running around with my bags open to keep track. Simple, but effective.

This works with all tokens in-game (valor, justice, marks of the world tree, conquest, honor, etc...all crafting mats such as ore, herbs, name it). I'm not sure we've come across anything it doesn't keep count of. It's just a nice way of keeping track of what you have without opening your character window or your bags to check.

Again, if this is not allowed, please delete. I completely understand. Thanks for listening!
